Q What would I use a SMS Bundle for?
A SMS bundles are perfect for people who frequently SMS. In-bundle SMS rates are cheaper than standard SMS rates. Once the allocated bundle SMS amount has been used up, SMS messages will be charged at the standard SMS rates.
Q What does Open Line mean?

Open Line contracts have varying talk time, SMSes and Data that are included in the contract bundle. Once the allocated amounts are finished those services are still available and but are extra expenses that are billed to the customer at the end of the month.

TIP: Talk minutes, SMSes and Data are more expensive when they are out of bundle thus it is advised that you find the contract best suited to your talking, SMS and internet usage needs, were you will not go over the allocated amounts.

Q What are Off-Peak Minutes?

Off-Peak Minutes are minutes that can only be used between 00:00 to 07:00 and again between 19:00 to 00:00.


What are Top Up Contracts?


Top Up contracts are different to Open Line contracts as once the allocated talk time, SMSes and data is used up, these services will not be available. Pre-paid airtime needs to be purchased if you would like to continue talking, SMSing or using the internet.

TIP: If you would like to closely monitor a contract or stop yourself or the contract user from spending more money, then a Top Up contract is ideal.

Q Please explain Data for Tablets, Computers, Laptops, Modems or Routers?

Data is needed to access the internet, go on Facebook, Twitter and to send and receive your emails.

If you have a:

  • Tablet or iPad – then you need to purchase data to access the internet. (Some Tablets/iPads are Wi-Fi only.)
  • Computer, Laptop or a Wi-Fi only Tablet/iPad – then you will need to purchase data as well as a Router or Modem to access the internet.

Q Please explain Data for Cellphones?

Data is what you need to surf the internet, download apps, be active on Facebook and Twitter and access your emails. A Data Bundle is a set amount of data that is allocated to your contract.

Data is measured in Megabytes (mb or MB) and Gigabyte (GB). 1000MB = 1 GB

TIP: Data can be quite costly when out of bundle and can add a nasty surprise to your bill. It is important to find the right amount of data that fits your needs, so if you use the internet often then make sure you get a higher amount of data. Q What is a Contract Protector?
A Contract Protector covers your monthly subscription up to a certain value per month in the event of death, disability or retrenchment. This cover is only for Contract holders between the ages of 18 and 70 years.

A Caller Line Identity or CLI lets you see who is calling you by displaying the number on your phone and allows other people see that you are calling them. This makes it easy for you to screen your calls.
